MayTay Finance is built on a simple principle: your financial data is yours. MT Software does not operate servers that receive, store, or process your app data.
1. Data Storage
Data you enter in MayTay Finance — accounts, transactions, categories, spaces, budgets, receipts, and goals — is stored on your device. On iPhone, iPad, and Mac, if you enable iCloud sync, that data may sync through your personal Apple iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. Windows and Linux builds are local-only and do not include iCloud sync.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
MT Software does not collect, store, sell, or have access to your personal or financial app data. We have no servers that receive your MayTay Finance data. If you use iCloud sync on Apple devices, that sync is handled by Apple under your Apple ID and iCloud settings.
3. Camera and Photo Library
The app may request access to your camera and photo library to let you attach receipt images to transactions. Receipts are stored with your app data. On Apple devices with iCloud sync enabled, receipt attachments may sync through your iCloud account; on Windows and Linux they remain local to that installation.
4. Authentication and Sync
MayTay Finance may ask you to create an in-app user and password to protect access to your local app data and keep your devices organized under one app profile. MT Software does not receive or manage those credentials. Apple-platform sync depends on your iCloud availability and settings.
5. Analytics
MayTay Finance does not include any analytics, crash reporting, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We have no visibility into how you use the app.
6. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
